Ste-Agathe, February 1, 2024 - Groupe Leclair is proud to announce the acquisition of the Subaru Ste-Agathe dealership in partnership with Tremblay Auto Groupe. The transaction, spearheaded by Mathieu Leclair, Steve Gosselin, Marc-Olivier Richard and Patrick Tremblay, is the culmination of several months' work with Erik Gaudet, the current owner of this family business.
Groupe Leclair and Tremblay Auto Groupe are delighted with this opportunity, which represents a third Subaru franchise for both entities. Mathieu Leclair, President of Subaru Rive-Nord, Chomedey Hyundai and Lachute Subaru, says: “Groupe Leclair is delighted to join forces with Tremblay Auto Groupe and to welcome Subaru Ste-Agathe to its extended family. Both owners of Subaru dealerships, Mathieu and Patrick met during meetings and trips organized by Subaru. In the course of their many discussions, the two businessmen discovered a number of shared passions, as well as a very similar entrepreneurial vision. What's more, both are keen to leave a positive mark on their communities, and to make a tangible contribution to the growth and development of their staff. This is how this brand-new collaboration was born. Which officially takes shape with this very first acquisition by Leclair-Tremblay.
Marc-Olivier Richard, also a partner in this new acquisition, retains his title as General Manager of Chomedey Hyundai, in addition to assuming the general management of the dealership founded in 1988 by the Gaudet family. Subaru Ste-Agathe generates a volume of some 500 new vehicles and around one hundred pre-owned units per year.
